Crispy Air Fryer Fried Pickles

Instructions:

  1. Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Prepare your breading station by placing the beaten eggs in one bowl and the breadcrumbs in another.
  3. Take each dill pickle chip and dip it into the egg, allowing the excess to drip off. Then press it into the breadcrumbs, coating all sides evenly.
  4. Arrange the coated pickle chips in a single layer in the air fryer basket, ensuring they don’t overlap.
  5. Lightly spray the tops of the pickle chips with non-stick cooking spray to help them crisp up.
  6. Air fry for 8–10 minutes. At the halfway point, flip the pickles and spray the other side.
  7. Remove when they’re golden brown and crispy. Serve immediately with your choice of dipping sauce.

Variations :

  • Extra Crunchy: Use panko breadcrumbs for a thicker, more textured crust.
  • Spicy Kick: Mix a pinch of cayenne pepper or smoked paprika into the breadcrumbs.
  • Gluten-Free Option: Swap regular breadcrumbs for a gluten-free variety or crushed cornflakes.
  • Cheesy Twist: Add a tablespoon of grated Parmesan to the breadcrumbs for a savory boost.

Tips :

  • Make sure the pickle chips are thoroughly dried before breading to prevent a soggy coating.
  • For best results, avoid overcrowding the air fryer basket. Cook in batches if needed.
  • Want to prep ahead? Bread the pickles and refrigerate them for up to an hour before air frying.
  • Serve with multiple dips for variety—think ranch, buffalo sauce, or even honey mustard for a sweet contrast.
