Instructions:
- Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C).
- Prepare your breading station by placing the beaten eggs in one bowl and the breadcrumbs in another.
- Take each dill pickle chip and dip it into the egg, allowing the excess to drip off. Then press it into the breadcrumbs, coating all sides evenly.
- Arrange the coated pickle chips in a single layer in the air fryer basket, ensuring they don’t overlap.
- Lightly spray the tops of the pickle chips with non-stick cooking spray to help them crisp up.
- Air fry for 8–10 minutes. At the halfway point, flip the pickles and spray the other side.
- Remove when they’re golden brown and crispy. Serve immediately with your choice of dipping sauce.
Variations :
- Extra Crunchy: Use panko breadcrumbs for a thicker, more textured crust.
- Spicy Kick: Mix a pinch of cayenne pepper or smoked paprika into the breadcrumbs.
- Gluten-Free Option: Swap regular breadcrumbs for a gluten-free variety or crushed cornflakes.
- Cheesy Twist: Add a tablespoon of grated Parmesan to the breadcrumbs for a savory boost.
Tips :
- Make sure the pickle chips are thoroughly dried before breading to prevent a soggy coating.
- For best results, avoid overcrowding the air fryer basket. Cook in batches if needed.
- Want to prep ahead? Bread the pickles and refrigerate them for up to an hour before air frying.
- Serve with multiple dips for variety—think ranch, buffalo sauce, or even honey mustard for a sweet contrast.
