Instructions:
- Lay out the tortillas on a flat surface.
- Spread a generous layer of softened cream cheese evenly over each tortilla, reaching the edges.
- Place 2 slices of deli ham over the cream cheese layer.
- Position one large pickle spear (or two smaller ones) along one edge of the tortilla.
- Starting from the pickle edge, roll the tortilla up tightly, tucking in the ingredients as you go.
- Wrap each roll in plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to firm up.
- Once chilled, slice each roll into 1-inch pieces and arrange on a serving tray. Serve cold.
Variations:
- Keto Style: Skip the tortilla and simply wrap the ham and cream cheese directly around the pickle.
- Spicy Kick: Use jalapeño pickles or mix sriracha into the cream cheese.
- Herbed Version: Add chopped dill, green onions, or chives to the cream cheese for extra flavor.
- Low-Sodium Swap: Use low-sodium ham and pickles to control the salt content.
Tips:
- Pat Pickles Dry: Blot pickles with paper towels before wrapping to prevent soggy bites.
- Room Temperature Cheese: Ensure cream cheese is fully softened for smooth spreading.
- Sharp Knife for Clean Cuts: Use a serrated knife to get neat, uniform rounds.
- Make Ahead: These bites hold up well in the fridge for up to 24 hours, making them perfect for party prep.
